Worldwide ,Tobaccodo pose a serious effects on the health of users. In fact, tobacco use remains the leading preventable cause of disease and death in Kenya ,leading to more than 15000 deaths each year.
Various tobacco products, although, cause varying levels of health risk to consumers. Combustible products that burn tobacco, like a cigarette, are the most toxic to users’ health, while noncombustible products, such as e-cigarettes, may be less toxic even though no tobacco product is posed to be safe.
Cigarettes are responsible for the variable tobacco-related disease and death in Kenya. Smokers are directly consuming toxic mix of over 7,000 chemicals when they inhale cigarette smoke that consequently threaten their health in many ways.
Smoking of tobacco harms nearly all organs in the body and leads to premature deaths .It is also a major cause of cardiovascular disease which is the single leading cause of deaths in Kenya that is preventable .In addition tobacco smoking increases risks of stroke that if it is mild can cause death.The act of smoking before ,during and after pregnancy can affects infants health and lead to stanted growth.
Smoking has been a silent killer moreso to Kenyans between age 30 to 60.It is awake up call for all Kenyans to make a stop to the silent killer.Must we use a lot of money to fight cancer and lung inflammation yet this is preventable ? Tobacco consumption must be minimises so as to protect all Kenyans All passive and active smokers suffer.Tobacco is a nation wide disaster.Kenyan must now open their eyes and start a fight against tobacco silent killings.
