With about two months to Aughust general election TSP party leader ,Mwangi Kiunjuri has advised Mt Kenya to elect leaders with ability and not parties.Mwangi had vocalized this at Inoro Tv and while addressing the public in Laikipia .
Kiunjuri has been selling Dp Ruto presidential bid in Mt Kenya.However , a semered emergence of Kenya Kwanza cracks has been on the air.Mt Kenya parties that are affiliated to Kenya Kwanza has blamed Kenya Kwanza leadership for sidelining them.Recently Mwangi Kiunjuri , has threatened to exit Kenya Kwanza as they are not fully involved in Kenya Kwanza activities in Mt Kenya.He has urged the voters of Mt Kenya to vote who ever they wish they want moreso the Laikipia residents.
“People from Laikipia county and Mt Kenya region ,elect leaders and not parties .Elect the president you want and look for the other positions.” Mwangi said.
Former Agricultural cabinet secretary being a member of TSP which is part of Kenya Kwanza Alliance was expected to campaign for Ruto instead of leaving his supporters in a catch 22 to make options open for his supporters.This might be a signal of fallout in Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Kiunjuri also decried that some parties have been placed in the dark and ignored during campaigns that may ruin Do Ruto’s presidential bid. He stated further that parties sign coalition pact they need to work as a team.
“When you are in a coalition, you need to work as a team .You cannot pretend in the day that you are in a coalition and night you are not.” He said.
Chaisa media has learnt the parties within Kenya Kwanza are fighting over zoning and cash for campaigns. Reports also show that a few individuals are entitled to choppers for presidential campaigns purposes.In addition some sources show that key principals of Kenya Kwanza are being forced to settle expenses incurred during campaigns instead of using amont from campaign docket.
