Women in the country have been through a lot and there is still need to put more effort on matters concerning women’s affairs in the society
Kenya being a good example has been in a frontline to ensure that women’s rights are safeguarded. Even Though the one third gender rule has not been implemented, women have not taken this as a blocking stone towards reaching their goals and realizing their dreams.

With higher number of women this time round coming out to vie for different seats it’s an evidence that many of them have been empowered and have now realized their potential. coming to a situation whereby a women can boldly contest with men in a ballot box is a great move and it’s shows that women can do whatever men can do better.
On the economic side women have also been seen on a frontline as revenue generators as they take part in different business opportunities across the country. This should always make people see the important role that women play in the society.
It’s high time each and every one should realize the importance of women in the society and help in fighting for a gender equal society.
As the day is being celebrated today ,let everyone move out from that era whereby women were seen to be less able with no ability and being under men in the society .let the country wake up from a sleep and realize the important role that women do play in the society hence to help them move to the next level.
Through coming together, there shall be hope to attain a gender equal society one day.
